Monica Webb Earns Spirit Tour Win

Monica Webb completed an undefeated run through the field to earn 1st place in the Ladies Spirit Tour's June tour stop at Wally's Billiards in Lakeland, Fl.

Sunday dawned with three WPBA touring pros joined by one WPBA hopeful in the winners bracket. Webb sent Tracie Hines to the one loss side with a 7-0 victory and WPBA hopeful Xiao-Ting Pan edged Helena Thornfeldt 7-6. The match for the hot-seat went to hill-hill before Webb was able to earn the 7-6 win over Pan.

On the one loss side, Pan had a rematch with Thornfeldt and things didn't go as well as earlier. Thornfeldt won the rematch 7-5 to earn a shot at Webb in the finals. The final match between Webb and Thornfeldt was pretty anti-climactic with Webb cruising to a 7-1 victory and first place.

Webb took home $700 for first place while Thornfeldt settled for $550. Pan pocketed $325 as well as the WPBA qualifier for third place.
